BPI is the premier standards development and credentialing organization for residential energy auditing. You want to make sure that any energy-efficiency professional you allow in your home is certified and in good standing with this organization.
Consumer Reports says: “Watch for fly-by-night companies—blow and go is the industry term—who charge a hefty fee for an audit, promise major upgrades, then disappear. Choose a contractor certified by the Building Performance Institute. They’re required to do an audit before and after any work to guarantee results.” (Consumer Reports, October 2013)
We have been continuously certified with BPI since 2012, and are proud of our association with this standard setting organization.
